About me
Amy Lee Story is a fine artist and teacher in Atlanta, Georgia. She is the Visual Arts Chair at The Lovett School. She grew up in Anchorage, Alaska and received her BFA from Tulane University and MA from Loyola University in New Orleans. Amy also is a freelance illustrator. She illustrated the children’s books, Fleurdelicious and Fleurdelee, by Rene Hemel and Marybeth Touzet. Also, Mind Your Manners at the Table, by Betty Rabe. All three works are on sale now.
Amy Lee Story works in all media including painting, sculpture, ceramics, drawing, and digital photography. Amy’s pieces are narrative in nature. Through the use of layers and formal composition, they each tell a story. Amy is inspired by folklore, her dreams, and by her travels. Common themes found in her work include imagination, youth, nature, and iconography. Each of Amy’s pieces exists as a glimpse into her unique point of view.
